Kevin Kennard put on a first class show last night at The Bon Ton Room. He was supported by Sherra Zuck on piano and Vic McDermott on bass. Both did a fabulous job, but it was Kevin's deceptively laid back sense of humor and command of the evening that made for a great experience. Choice of program in a cabaret evening is not simple. Kevin's was flawless. One minute he was singing a 'patter' song and everyone was laughing and the next he moved you to tears with his interpretation of Michael Feinstein's "My Favorite Year", which is his signature song. There is a rumor that he is coming back around Christmas time. If he does, make reservations immediately. You won't be sorry.
