JONESVILLE - The Sauk, Hillsdale County’s community theatre, has announced audition dates for their upcoming production of “Titanic - The Musical.” Auditions will be held by appointment on March 27 and 28 at the Sauk Theatre, 240 E. Chicago in Jonesville.

The production is looking to cast between 50-60 people ages 8 and up. No experience is necessary. All roles require singing.
Rehearsals will begin immediately with performances scheduled June 11-21.
“Titanic - The Musical” paints an intimate picture of the real-life individuals who played an integral part in the fateful voyage - the officers, crew and passengers - from all classes. Whether they traveled first class, second class or steerage, all the Titanic’s passengers stepped on board the massive ship with the hope and desire to accomplish their life’s dreams. The musical won the Tony Award for Best Musical in 1997. The musical is not based on the 1997 film. “Titanic” is being brought to the Sauk stage by the team responsible for last summer’s blockbuster production of “Les Miserables.” Trinity Bird will direct with musical direction by Kristi Gautsche. Bird and Gautsche have collaborated on over 25 musicals at The Sauk including recent productions of “Shrek the Musical,” “The Drowsy Chaperone,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “The King and I” and “Godspell.” Jan Mackie will produce.
