GoProv, an improvisational comedy troupe from Indiana, will make their second annual appearance at the Sauk Theatre in Jonesville this Saturday.
The group, which uses suggestions from the audience to create comedy scenes, made their debut at The Sauk last year during Riverfest. The fast-paced, hilarious show will have no rehearsal, no script and everything will be made up on the spot.
The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 16 at The Sauk, 240 E. Chicago in Jonesville, MI. All tickets are $10. Tickets will be available in person at the theatre Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and again from 5:30 until showtime. Tickets are also available online at www.thesauk.org.
Returning from last year are performers Steve Freeto, Aaron Nichols and Angie Pippenger. Joining the group this year will be Michael Koscielny.
During the day Saturday, GoPro will host an improvisational comedy workshop open to anyone age 16 and up. The workshop will focus on the fundamentals of improv comedy, how to create characters with no rehearsal and teach games designed to open performers minds to a wide variety of comedy possibilities.
The workshop will be held from 2:30 - 5:50 p.m at the theatre. Registration is $15 and includes a ticket to the evening performance. To register call 517-849-9100 and leave a message. You will receive a confirmation phone call.
