The LaZebnik family is establishing an arts scholarship for students at Jackson Community College. A weekend of FREE workshops is being offered and three performances of the play
Rachel Calof, which tells the story of an 18 year-old mail-order bride who leaves her tough life in 1894 Russia to face even more challenges on the North Dakota frontier. This 80 minute play details the extraordinary life of a Jewish pioneer woman living with her husband and family in a 12 by 14 plank house. It will be presented at 8 pm on September 26th and 2 pm and 8 pm on Saturday, Septembe 27th. Tickets are $15, with special pricing for students.
